Duration: 2 Days
Course Overview
A highly interactive 2-day training programme equips your personnel with the essential frameworks, tools, and methodologies required to deliver projects successfully within your organisations context.
Balancing global standards (PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, and Scrum) with hands-on practical application, the course guides participants through the entire project lifecycle—from initial scoping to final closure. Through dynamic case studies, discussions, and exercises, attendees will master critical skills in stakeholder engagement, robust scheduling, risk mitigation, and progress tracking.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Foundations & Governance:
Understand core project lifecycles, global standards, and defined governance structures (including the distinct roles of Project Boards and Sponsors).
Project Initiation:
Learn how to build a solid business case, launch projects effectively using the 5W and BOSCARD methods, and draft a clear Project Charter.
Advanced Planning & Estimating:
Master the creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), network diagrams, critical path analysis, and various agile/traditional estimating techniques.
Monitoring & Control:
Gain practical skills in tracking time, costs, and resources using Gantt charts, Kanban boards, and Earned Value Management, while learning how to establish clear escalation and stage-review processes.
Risk & Change Management:
Learn to proactively identify risks (using PESTLE and Risk Breakdown Structures), plan countermeasures, and manage scope changes through structured change control.
Successful Closure:
Discover how to effectively transition deliverables, evaluate project success, and embed a benefits realisation approach and lessons-learned framework into future organisational initiatives.
