Target Audience

The course is aimed at Project Managers and others involved in Project Management who want to understand how to apply agile approaches within an overall project management lifecycle framework.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Understand the key principles and roles of the Scrum framework
• Be able to work effectively as part of a Scrum team, applying Scrum events and artefacts
• Learn to apply AgilePM principles to manage entire projects, from initiation to delivery
• Develop skills in backlog management, sprint planning, and prioritisation using MoSCoW
• Manage project risks, governance, and stakeholder communication in Agile environments

Course Content

Scrum Essentials

• Gain a clear understanding of Scrum foundations, roles, and practices
• Prepare for and take the Scrum Essentials Certification Exam

AgilePM® Foundation

• Prepare for the AgilePM Foundation certification exam (taken in class)
• Recognise the underpinning philosophy and principles of Agile
• Understand the lifecycle of an Agile project, including alternative configurations
• Apply the products produced during an Agile project and their purpose
• Apply techniques used and understand their benefits and limitations
• Identify roles and responsibilities within an Agile project
• Prepare for and take the AgilePM Foundation Certification Exam

AgilePM® Practitioner

• Apply AgilePM principles to real-world project scenarios
• Lead agile teams using adaptive leadership styles
• Tailor Scrum and AgilePM practices for multi-team delivery
• Prioritize work using MoSCoW to ensure business value
• Estimate and plan agile projects across the full lifecycle
• Identify and manage risk without a separate risk process
• Balance agility with compliance and governance requirements
• Prepare for and take the AgilePM Foundation Certification Exam

TEST CERTIFICATION

AgilePM Foundation Exam Details:
• Number/Type of Questions: 50 multiple choice
• Pass Rate: 30 out of 50 (60%)
• Exam Style: Closed Book
• Exam Delivery: Exams are invigilated in class.

AgilePM Practitioner Exam Details:
• Number/Type of Questions: 4 scenario-based questions, each with 15 parts (60 objective test questions in total)
• Pass Rate: 30 out of 60 (50%)
• Open book;
• Exam Delivery: Exams are invigilated in class.
